Northwestern State has been one of the more successful small-conference programs in the country the last few years. The team made a big splash with an upset of Iowa in the NCAA tournament a few years ago. Northwestern State looks to continue a solid run with its most recent addition, a strong defensive guard from Panola College in Texas.
