2007 rankings: One experts top 50

It should be a big-time year for junior college basketball in the Sunshine State. Florida boasts three of the top five players in our initial top 50 rankings.
JucoJunction has two resident experts who will offer up their takes on the top sophomores in the country. This is the first of those two lists that we will publish over the next couple of days.

Tallahassee forward Dustin Scott sits atop the rankings. Chipola teammates DeAndre Thomas and Jamarcus Ellis are also Florida standouts who are in the top five. Kilgore's Marcus Thornton and former LSU commit Desmond Hendrix round out that group. The top three players, and seven of our top ten, remain uncommitted.
It should also be a very competitive season in the race to Hutch. Chipola is the only team who has two players ranked among our expert's top 20. Traditional powers such as Indian Hills, Iowa Western, Highland and the College of Southern Idaho also have prospects among the nation's elite.
Check out our top 50 and give us your thoughts on one of our many message boards.
