Action heating up at Sullivan College

Donte Harrison and Jason Johnson led Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, NY to a national D3 basketball championship this past season. The Generals finished the season unbeaten at 33-0. JucoJunction touched base with head coach Chris DePew on the recruitment of some of his players.

Harrison is (SO) 6-foot-9 (205) from Brooklyn, NY.

"Donte signed on the first day of the signing period with Hampton University. Donte is an extremely athletic four man that I believe still has is best basketball in front of him," said DePew.

Donte never played high school basketball at Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn. Donte averaged 11.6 ppg and 11.3 rebounds this past season while shooting 61% from the floor.

Johnson is (SO) 6-foot-8 (235) Manhattan, NY. Johnson was just recently named D3 National Player of the Year by the NJCAA. The 1st team All-American has received interest from Hampton, East Tennessee State, St. Peter's, Stony Brook and Rhode Island. Johnson will play in the National NJCAA All Star game next weekend on Kilgore, TX. Jason averaged 21 and 14.5 rebounds this season while shooting 67% from the floor.

"Jason is a inside physical force with tremendous post moves. Jason shoots the ball very well for his size from the foul line. Head coach Chris DePew was awarded D3 National Coach of the Year this season.
