Aiken Tech has plenty to offer

The Knights of Aiken Tech College (Aiken, SC) are off to a hot start this season at (15-4) and (8-0) in Region 10 play. Head coach Bruce Capers took some time to talk to JucoJunction about this year's team.
Shondre Guest: (SO) 6-foot-7 (190) from Columbia, SC.

"Shondre is one of the most versatile kids I have ever seen. He can play all 5 positions. Guest scores in so many ways with his great skill level," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Shondre will fall short of graduation on time this spring, but hasn't decided whether to go the D2 route or redshirt and try to D1 the following year. Guest is at 14.9 ppg, 8.7 rebounds, 55% from the floor (110-199) and 55% from three-point range (32-58).
Lipscomb, Jacksonville University, Delaware State, University of San Diego, Lynn University (FL),Georgia College and State University, Clayton State, Tarleton State (TX) and Kentucky Wesleyan are keeping tabs on him.
James Giles: (SO) 6-foot-9 (265) from Somerset, NJ. The 4/5 Giles is a third yr kid that played at Atlanta Metro last season. James attended Southern Union CC (AL) back in the fall of 2004 but did not play.
"James just recently got eligble at the break and has done an excellent job rebounding and defending for us," said Capers.
James has averaged 6.3 ppg and 7.6 rebounds in 8 games since returning to the lineup. Giles must go the D2/NAIA route is getting interest from Montevallo (AL),Lynn University (FL),Columbus State (GA),Virginia State, West Virginia State, West Georgia, Armstrong
Atlantic State, UNC-Pembroke and Hawaii-Hilo. Giles prepped at St Thomas More in Connecticut for Coach Jere Quinn.
Bernard Fields: (SO) 6-foot-4 (185) from Statesboro, GA.
Fields is a combo guard that played last season at Okaloosa-Walton (FL).
"BJ brings alot of toughness to this team," says Capers.
Fields can slash to the cup and hits the midrange jumper. Fields on the season is at 14 ppg, 4.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists on the season. Bethune Cookman and several D2 schools are courting
Fields.
Terrance Asmond: (SO) 5-foot-9 (185) from Columbia, SC.
Asmond is a jet quick, left-handed point guard.
"Terrance logs a lot of minutes and he's very quick with the ball" says Bret Swanson.
Asmond is at 9.2 ppg and 7.3 assists this season. Terrance's recruitment is wide open.
Matthew Todd: (SO) 6-foot-3 (185) from Augusta, GA.
"Matt is just an explosive shooter that can really stroke the 3 ball. I don't think there is anyone that
can beat him in a 3 point shooting contest," said Capers.
Todd is averaging 4.3 ppg this season.
Gabriel Robinson: (FR) 6-foot-3 (195) from Augusta, GA.
Robinson is a solid combo guard that prepped at the Patterson School (NC) last season.
"Gabe could average a double-double easy but has been very unselfish and is committed to the team winning," said Capers.
Gabe is at 9.4 ppg and 3.6 assists a game this season.
Ashton Wine: (FR) 6-foot-5 (250) from North Charleston, SC. Wine is a man-child power forward. Wine is shooting a hot 70% from the floor (75-107) and creates mismatches with his size in the paint. Ashton is averaging 9.3 ppg and 4.1 rebounds.
