Alabama forward makes a commitment

Rob Williams took over the Alabama Southern program after being an assistant at Chipola last season. Williams didn't take long to continue the Chipola tradition of sending players to Division One schools.
6-foot-7 forward Ken Mitchell has made his commitment to Texas A&M Corpus-Christi.

"Ken has verballed to Corpus Christi. He really enjoyed the visit there," Williams told JucoJunction. "He will join former Alabama Southern coach Michael Floyd who is now an assistant coach there."
Mitchell is a player moving on solely on his potential. Due to two ACL injuries, he has not yet played a college game. It is possible he will have three years to play at the Division One level.
Mitchell is an athletic, left-handed prospect who can play either forward position. JucoJunction will see Mitchell and his teammates play this weekend at a juco jamboree in Tallahassee, FL and will have much more on him at that time.
