Rico will have three years to play for the Jaguars as he was an academic qualifier coming out of high school.
"Rico is a shooting guard that can really shoot the ball. He has a quick shot release with unlimited range. Rico is a very bouncy player and plays very under control on the floor," said Hicks.
Sanders, 6-foot-3, received interest from Tennessee State, Coastal Carolina and Sam Houston State this fall according to coach Hicks. Sanders is currently leading the state of Alabama in scoring at 25 ppg for the Eagles. Sanders is a College Park, GA native.
"South Alabama assistant coach Mike Brown did a great job of recruiting Rico," said Hicks.
JucoJunction will keep an eye on the Eagles throughout the next few months and see if they can make a run to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS right here on your source for junior college basketball recruiting news.
