Allen commits, teammate taking visits

Orlando Allen decided after three official visits he wanted to end his recruitment. Allen, (SO) 6-foot-11 (285) from Cincinnati, OH, will head to the University of Oklahoma next season and play for Sooner Head Jeff Capel.
"Coach Capel did a great job of recruiting Orlando. He really wore him down and made him a priority for the Sooners," said Paris Junior College Head coach Ross Hodge.

Allen had visited Nebraska and Minnesota also this fall. Oklahoma State, Baylor and Maryland also showed interest in the center.
Orlando signed with Seton Hall coming out of high school but didn't qualify academically. Allen averaged 2.2 ppg and 2.6 rebounds last season for the (27-5) Dragons.
Dragons teammate Brian Ayers, (SO) 6-foot-4 (170) from Holly Springs, MS, will take a official visit this coming weekend to South Alabama. Ayers redshirted last
year and can leave Paris JC with three years to play after this season. Brian visited Lamar University this past weekend.
