American River guard headed to Texas
Joey Shank, 6-foot-2, from American River College in Sacramento,CA, will head off to University of Texas San Antonio next season.
Shank, a left-handed two guard visited UTSA this past weekend. He averaged 14.6 ppg and was 1st team All Conference last year for the Beavers. Shank is from Folsom,CA.

"Joey is a tough kid who works really hard at his game," said coach Mark Giorgi. "He has a scorers mentality. Coach Thompson did a great job recruiting him."
Santa Barbara - (unofficial visit) and Sacramento State - (unofficial vist) were also recruiting Shank.
