Andre looking to start fast at DBCC

New head coach Anthony Andre will try to turn things around this coming season at Daytona Beach Community College. JucoJunction touched base with Coach Andre today on two of his sophomores for this coming season.
DeAundre Cranston: (SO) 6-foot-8 (240) from Orlando, FL. Cranston is a big bodied power forward.

"DeAundre has a lot of potential. He has a lot more components to work this coming season. DeAundre can really rebound and face up to the basket while playing his butt off for the whole game," said Andre.
Cranston has received interest this fall from several schools after playing this summer in Jerry Mullens JUCO 120 Camp in Tulsa, OK. DeAundre averaged a double-double last
season 12.3 ppg and 10.8 rebounds while hitting 62% (155-250) from the floor.
Cranston was set to visit Coastal Carolina last month but had to cancel the visit after bad weather had cancelled some flight arrangements. Cranston will visit Butler University the weekend of October 19-21. Deaundre is also receiving interest from Winthrop, Rhode Island and Kansas State. Kansas State assistant coach Brad Underwood was in recently to see Cranston. Underwood had recruited DeAundre to Daytona Beach Community College before he left to go to Kansas State.
Richard Sirju: (SO) 6-foot-3 (205) from Sunrise, FL.
"Richard is a true scorer. He will play the two guard for us this coming season. Richard is as strong as an ox and he also played at Mullens JUCO 120 Camp this past summer in Tulsa," said Andre.
IP-Fort Wayne has shown some early interest in the two guard. Sirju averaged 16.3 ppg and shot 45% (61-135) from three-point range last season.
Daytona Beach Community College will try to improve on their 6-24 season from last season. DBCC will play in the Tallahassee Community College Jamboree on October 6.
