Angelina duo getting major attention

Dee Proby, (SO) 6-foot-9 (250), and Horace Dixon, (SO) 6-foot-8 (215), are both receiving a lot of college interest this fall. The duo played this past summer at Jerry Mullen's JUCO 120 Camp in Tulsa, OK. JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with new Angelina College head coach Todd Neighbors to get a recruiting update on the two post players.
Proby, from Round Round, TX, played a lot last season for the Roadrunners as a freshman. Dee averaged 6.7 ppg and 2.5 rebounds. Proby, a 5/4 man, will be a focus point for Angelina this coming season.

"Dee has dropped 10 pounds since arriving this season. He has gotten a lot stronger in the weight room and his playing a lot tougher on the block this season," said Neighbors.
Proby will take a visit to West Virginia September 21-23, and to Nebraska September 29-30. Charlotte, San Diego State and North Texas are also showing interest in the
post player.
Dixon is from Greenville, SC. Dixon transferred in back in January 2007 from St. Louis University where he played in five games last season. Dixon played at Fork Union Military (VA) after leaving high school at Mauldin High School in Mauldin, SC.
"Horace is a very high energy player. He can really attack the offensive glass and knock down the 15-footer," said Neighbors.
St. Bonaventure, Rhode Island, Wright State, Louisiana Tech, Binghamton, North Texas and New Orleans have called on the power forward this fall. Dixon has no visits lined up currently.
JucoJunction will see the Roadrunners next month at the Mitchell-Mullens JUCO Jamboree in Dallas, TX on October 12-13.
