Angelina ready to run again

Last season, Angelina College won 26 games and finished in the nation's top 20. Assistant coach Todd Neighbors thinks Angelina has another talented group that could have the Roadrunners among the top teams in the land once again.
Tops among the group may be Tulsa transfer Ashton Hall, who switched to Angelina in the spring.

"Ashton is a very skilled 3 man that can play some 2," Neighbors said. "He has a great body and is a warrior at both ends of the floor. He's got a great mid range game and can shoot the three. Big time high major athlete. "
There are five more sophomores at Angelina that will be getting plenty of looks. Neighbors ran down each player for us:
Reggie Fuller: "He was All-Conference last year while averaging 13.9 points per game, 9 rebounds per game, and he shot 67% from the field. He is a tremendous athlete that averaged two to three dunks a game. He played primarily the four spot last year but will also step out and play some three this year."
Lamont Mack: "He too was All-Conference last year as a freshman. He did this after only playing during the spring semester due to a foot injury. He averaged 9.4 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Although his average in the last eight games was 14 and seven. He is the opposite of Reggie. He is a mid-major athlete and has high-major skills. He is a big time multiple position player. He played the 4-3 last year, but this year he will be primarily a three and some two. He can really stroke the ball from the perimeter and has a great mid range game."
Tristan Worrell: "Tristan started every game for us at the five last year. He is undersized in height but makes up for it with his strength and intelligence of the game. He can step out and shoot the 15 footer and has a nice soft hook shot. He averaged 10.5 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. In the regional finals against San Jacinto he had 15 and 9 rebounds."
Terrence Moore: "Big body five man that weighs 285. Strong presence on the post. Can really defend the low block."
Clint Nixon: "Big time explosive athlete that can fly up and down the floor. Really attacks the rim. He played the two and the point for us last year. He will fill the same role this year. He can really score in bunches. He had many games last year where he would score 12 or 14 in a half coming off the bench. He averaged 7.4 points but started the last three games of the season where he averaged 14 and 5 assists."
