Another commitment out of Chipola

Mario Edwards, (SO) 6-foot-3 (195) from Massillon, OH, didn't want to left be out of the signing party next week at Chipola College. Mario will join his four other teammates next week to sign on the dotted line. Edwards has decided to take his game to Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC for next season. Edwards also received interest from Louisiana-Monroe.

"Mario really has a great chance to go in and play right away for Chants next season. Coach Ellis and Coach Waller did a great job of making him feel at home and really sold him on the up-and-coming Coastal Carolina program," said Chipola Head coach Greg Heiar.

Mario averaged 4.5 ppg and 2.1 rebounds last season as a freshman. New Coastal Carolina Head coach Cliff Ellis has been at Chipola College as a head coach himself in the past.
