Another Miami-Dade prospect off the board

Miami-Dade College put together a solid season under first-year head coach Chris Wade. MDC was 21-7 this year and lost in the Florida playoffs to Central Florida Community College. Wade gave JucoJunction the rundown on his sophomores that should move to the next level.
Jean Carlos Otero committed and signed early with Brigham Young. Now one of his teammates has also made a verbal commitment.

Jairo Mendoza has pledged his services to the University of New Orleans.
"We are excited and proud that Jairo will have the opportunity to play Division One basketball," Wade said. "That was his goal and dream when he came here for Colombia. We are grateful to the University of New Orleans for allowing him the opportunity to fulfill this dream."
Mendoza averaged 11.8 points and 4.9 rebounds this season. At 6-foot-8, he should give UNO's frontcourt an immediate boost.
There is still one Shark circling the waters at Miami-Dade. Leading scorer Freddy Little bumped his nightly average to 19.8 points per game this season. The undersized two-guard averaged 16.3 points per game as a freshman. Little also added four assists and 3.8 rebounds this season, showing off a solid all-around game.
Little will visit North Carolina-Wilmington in the near future. UNCW has already offered Little a scholarship.
