Staker, (SO) 6-foot-8, will play at California-Irvine next season. Ryan averaged 15.4 ppg, 12.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks this past season for the Vaqueros. Staker shot 56.8% from the floor for his head coach Chuck Schnoor. Schnoor is a former major league baseball player with the New York Mets.
Staker is a Las Vegas, NV native and started his college career at Yakima Valley College in Washington before playing at Central Arizona College this past season.
