Arnold Signs with Tennessee State

Wayne Arnold, a 6-4, 190 pound shooting guard/swingman from L.A. City College in California, has signed with Tennessee State.
A native of Lilburn, Ga., Arnold averaged 13 points per game for L.A. City in 2003-2004. He took official visits to Kansas State and Tennessee State before signing with Cy Alexander's Tiger program.

According to L.A. City Head Coach Mike Miller, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Miami (OH) and St. John's also expressed interest in Arnold this year.
"Tennessee State is a good fit for him and a good opportunity," Miller said. "He was our best player, our team MVP and a first-team all-state selection."
Arnold was a former Mr. Basketball in Georgia at Berkmar H.S. in Lilburn. He signed with Georgia out of high school but lasted only a year with the Bulldogs before landing in the J.C. ranks.
"Wayne has an all-around game," Miller said. "He's a good shooter and a good team player who does a lot of things well."
If there's a chink in his armor, Miller added, it's on the defensive side of the ball.
Arnold will have two years of eligibility at Tennessee State.
