New Mexico Junior College assistant coach James Miller informed JucoJunction that Alex Phillips will play at the University of Nebraska-Omaha next season. "Alex signed today with UNO," said Miller.

Phillips had signed back in the fall with Eastern Illinois University but received his release after the coaching at the Ohio Valley Conference School.
The Alabama native prepped at Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in LaGrange, Ga. with Head Coach Vacher Hammett.
Phillips averaged 9.4 points and 2.6 rebounds this season for the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds finished the season at 23-9 in WJCAC Conference. Phillips now joins teammates Marvin Binney and Ryan Okwudibonye at the NCAA Division One level this fall.
