Back for more

Having players for just two seasons in junior college makes for a turnover in the roster every season. One player will have a lot of new cast mates this coming season as he looks to lead his squad to new grounds. The Cougars of Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Ala. will have a whole new look this season after landing several transfers to the squad. One player who found his way back to Lawson State Community College is Coty Clarke.

Clarke played in the Mullens JUCO Camp last month in St Charles, Mo. and walked away with a very good weekend of play. "Coty has the ability to play with his back to the basket or face-up from 12 feet. Coty is really active on both ends of the floor and has the ability to rebound on both ends especially out of his area," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Clarke informed JucoJunction he has received some early interest from Liberty University, Wichita State and Seattle University this summer.
Clarke averaged 11.1 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game last season for the Cougars. JucoJunction will have a chance to see Clarke and his new set of teammates play again this coming October during the junior college jamboree circuit.
Stay tuned right all season long for the latest in junior college basketball recruiting news.
