Every season you will see players start off at the Division 1 level but end up in junior college for some reason or another. This season there were a couple players that decided to sign scholarships for next season and head back to the division one level. Shawntez Patterson will take his game to the Sun Belt Conference next fall and will play at Troy University in Dothan,AL. Patterson a wing player started his college career at Duquesne University.

Patterson a Detroit, MI native received interest from Chattanooga and IPFW this spring before deciding on Troy according to former Pensacola Junior College Assistant Coach Elijah Warren. Patterson averaged 10.7 ppg and 6.6 rebounds this season for the Pirates. "Shawntez is a wirey wing player who can handle the rock and really prefers the midrange game." said Swanson.
Lamont Austin led the way this season for the national champion Howard Junior College Hawks in Big Spring,TX. Austin a transfer from Missouri State University will play in the Ohio Valley Conference next fall at Murray State University according to Hawks Head Coach Mark Adams.
Austin a Topeka,KS native averaged 9.5 ppg, 3.3 assists and 3 rebounds this season for the Hawks.
"Lamont is a very quick point guard who can really get into the gaps and pullup for a midrange jumper." Said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Austin received interest from Lousiana-Monroe and Montana before deciding on Morehead State according to Adams.
