The 6-foot-10-inch post player played his freshman season at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Tex. for head coach Mike Marquis. Jones averaged 3.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game last season for the Apaches. "Donta is a left handed post player who really likes to play face-up on the floor and has the ability to hit the mid-range jumper," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Dantzler played last season at Mott Community College in Flint, M.I. for the Bears. Dantzler saw action in 11 games for the Bears last season. "Jamal really likes the ball in his hands and has a very strong body who likes to attack the basket," said Swanson.
JucoJunction will have a chance see the Statesmen on Columbus Day in October on the campus of Illinois Valley Community College in Ogelsby.
