Bakersfield starts hot in first half

Bakersfield College is off to a red-hot start. At 16-and-1, Bakersfield is ranked fourth in the State of California and the team leads the state in scoring. Coach Rich Hughes gave us a rundown of some of his more talented players.
Terrence Johns: 23 points a game, 45% from three, 55% total FG, All-State player last year, already has scored 1,000 pts in his career. Minimal interest: Arkansas Little Rock and Pepperdine is it.

Steve Alford: 6'5 1/2/3 – 11 points a game, can shoot-pass-handle, can flat out play, All Conference as a freshman. No interest yet, but he is a D-1 player.
Andrew Ready: 6'1 guard – All Conference as a freshman, strong, defends, can score, plays 1 or 2, competitor. No Interest! – D-1 guard in my opinion.
Demetrius Williamson: 6'6 wing – Super athlete, strokes it, boards. Freshman that will graduate after first year. Mercer and Brown interested.
Others sophomores worth a look at Bakersfield include Johnny Machado, Lawrence Billings, and Aaron Perez.
