Bakersfield trio waiting on coaches

Rich Hughes thinks he has three Division One players in his sophomore class. Now all he needs is for Division One coaches to take notice.
"I'll sign guys early if some of these coaches would get out here and watch us. It's like pulling teeth with some of these guys," Hughes said. "We've got a few trying to come in here in September and I'm going to try to push Steve Alford to sign early if somebody comes in here and really wants to sign him."

Alford will graduate in May, but Hughes said Terrence Johns and Andrew Ready will likely wait because they will have to take summer school classes.
"We had South Alabama in here in the summer, but I'm not sure how interested they are," Hughes said. "Long Beach State, Cal-Santa Barbara, they're a number that have called and we've sent out tape. The only ones that have arranged something right now is Santa Barbara for our September workouts."
Eventually, the Bakersfield trio will be moving on. It's just a question of when.
