Barksdale still wide open
Mid- and low-major schools all over the country are hoping to get Blinn point guard Maurice Barksdale on campus for a visit. And just about all of them are still in the running.
"Maurice is still kind of all over," said Blinn assistant coach Tra Arnold. "Arkansas State, Centenary, UNC-Wilmington, Campbell, Maine, Boston University, they're all recruiting him."

However, Barksdale isn't that far along in the process.
"I don't think he has set any visits," Arnold said. "People are starting to call right now. It's going to be a process, but we're going to start getting where he wants to visit set."
Teammate Chris Francois, meanwhile, signed with Birmingham Southern to continue his career.
"He's a face-up kind of four, maybe he could play on the wing at that level," said Arnold. "He's a good shooter, tough kid."
