Barnes leads Kaskaskia

This week throughout the country NJCAA Region Tourneys are going to begin. The Kaskaskia College Blue Devils from Centralia, IL play in Region 24 in the GRAC Conference and will begin tournament play this coming Thursday.

Daniel Barnes will have plenty of family and friends watching him play next season when he returns to the Windy City of Chicago to play at University of Illinois-Chicago. Barnes, from Oak Park, IL, played his freshman season at Eastern Michigan University before transferring to Kaskaskia College this past fall.
"Daniel is a left-handed combo guard with good poise on the floor," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson. Barnes is currently averaging 14.8 ppg, 3.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season for the Blue Devils. Barnes will look to help the Blue Devils this coming Thursday in Region Tourney play. The Blue Devils open play with Wabash Valley College in the first round.
