Barton County guard starting his visits

Barton County guard Ivan Evans has played just one semester of junior college basketball, but he showed plenty in that semester to get the attention of Division One coaches. In 16 games last season, Evans averaged 15.1 points per game to go with 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He was named second-team all-Jayhawk Conference.
"Ivan is a very athletic wing with a solid skill package," said head coach Craig Fletchall. "He is still rather inexperienced , having only played 16 games of college basketball, thus we feel he has a strong upside."

As do a number of recruiters. The 6-foot-4 Evans will begin the official visit process this weekend. He is headed to the University of Montana this coming weekend and out to Utah the weekend after. Illinois State and Nebraska are also showing interest.
At 6-4, Evans is big for a guard and can definitely post up against smaller defenders. He is a solid passer, a very good rebounded and plenty athletic to make things happen in the open floor.
