Barton sophomores with offers already

The Barton County Community College Cougars are off to a 15-and-1 start this season. The Cougars won a nail biter last time out, defeating Cloud County 62-61. JucoJunction.com had a chance to touch base with assistant coach Tim Perry on the Cougar sophomores.
Omar Johnson: (SO) 5'7 (145) from Philadelphia, PA.

Omar is a transfer from UT-Chattanooga.
"I can't say enough good things about him," Perry said. "Omar knocks down shots and distributes the ball."
The stats are not lying either for the former MCI/Philly Lutheran point guard. Johnson for the season is shooting 58.7 % from the floor (115-196) and averaging 19.2 points and 6 assists a game. Central Connecticut State, Southern Utah, Weber State, Northern Colorado, Montana State, Loyola-Chicago, St Francis (NY), Robert Morris (PA) and Rhode Island are calling on Omar.
Thiago Cordeiro: (SO) 6'9 (220) from Brazil.
"The kid has a knack for rebounding and blocking shots," said Perry. "He's very versatile with good hands and can knock down the 15 footer."
Thiago led the region last year in blocked shots. Cordeiro for the season is averaging 9.8 points , 8.8 rebounds and four blocks for the Cougars. Thiago recently faced Cloud County and Pittsburgh bound Cassin Diggs. He turned in a solid performance with eight points,12 rebounds and seven blocks. UMKC-offered, UNLV, George Washington, Nevada, UTEP, St. Louis, Pacific, Rhode Island and TCU are recruiting the post for his services for next year.
Ivan Evans: (SO) 6 foot 4 (195) from Philadelphia, PA.
Ivan is averaging 15.9 points and 8.8 rebounds this season on 56.4 % (101-179) from the floor. Evans has been offered by UMKC and has interest from St. Bonaventure, Northern Iowa, Northern Colorado, Cal Santa Barbara, Illinois State, Niagara, Georgia State and Loyola-Chicago.
