Bears and Statesmen advance to Final 4

The early afternoon game saw the first consolation bracket in CCBC-Dundalk defeating Southeast Community College 78-73. The Lions led by as many as 22 points in the second half. The Storm battled back but fell short in the game and was eliminated from the tourney.
Sean Tarver led the CCBC-Dundalk Lions with 23 points and Altez Davis scored 20 points for the Storm. Davis, a 6-foot-7 forward, was playing in his hometown and had plenty support in his return.

The Phoenix College Bears are looking to repeat as champions. The Bears defeated Lakeland College 81-65 to advance to the Final 4. The Bears were led by all everything point guard Brandon Brown with 32 points and 7 assists.
Shooting guard Kevin Conley added 23 points and connected on 7 three pointers for the Bears.
Cristen Wilson led the Lakers in defeat with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Davis and Chris Scott chipped in 14 points a piece.
In the night cap on Day 2 Richard Bland College defeated Garrett College 96-77. The Statesmen were led by Avery Ugba with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Tavon Mealy, Reginald Moses and LeQuan Thomas all added 15 points in the victory.
DeAndre Davis led Garrett College in defeat with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Freshman point Rze Culbreath added 26 points.
The Statesmen will advance to the Final 4 and will play Phoenix College on Friday night.
