Bears are running

Harcum College is only in its seventh year of a basketball program and Drew Kelly has guided the Bears from day one. Kelly carried a career record of 125-29 heading into this season. The Bears are currently 11-3 and leading the nation in scoring at 110.6 points per game.

The Bears have been led in scoring this season by JucoJunction Top 150 member Kevin Edmonds. Edmonds is from Freehold, N.J. and is currently averaging 16.4 points and 9 rebounds per game this season while shooting 73 percent (61-83) from the floor.
Edmonds will only have one season to play at the NCAA Division One level.
Percy Woods is a combo guard who is averaging 13.4 points and 4.1 assists per game this season. Woods is receiving some interest from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore according to Bears Assistant Coach Steven Hobbs.
David Bruce will leave Harcum College next spring with three years to play at the NCAA Division One level.
Bruce is 6-foot-9 and hails from Linden, N.J. He has gathered interest and phone calls from Iowa State, Houston, Tennessee, Temple and Seton Hall this season according to coach Hobbs. Bruce is averaging 12.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this season.
Sandy Burgos is just a freshman from nearby Fort Lee and is scoring 13.7 points per game this season while Keith Mitchell is at 12.5.
Mitchell, a sophomore from Woodbridge, V.A., will have some graduation issues along with shooting guard Edward Reed from Milwaukee, W.I. according to coach Hobbs. Reed is a Milwaukee Rufus King product is averaging 9.9 points per game this season.
