John Taylor played his high school basketball in Chicago, Ill. before he went off to junior college at Chipola College in Marianna, Fla. a few seasons ago.

Taylor attended Rust College in Mississippi as a college student before landing this fall at Mott Community College in Flint, Mich. for longtime head coach Steve Schmidt.
Taylor scoring the nets averaging 33 points per game for the 4-0 Bears. Taylor, who attended North Lawndale Prep, is currently ranked No. 92 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150.
JucoJunction saw the left-handed Taylor back at the Rick Ball Jamboree on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana back in October on the junior college jamboree circuit.
