Big 12 bound

"Dinjiyl Walker has committed to play at the University of Oklahoma" said Iowa Western Community College Assistant Coach James Bankhead. Walker, a shooting guard from Canada, will have two seasons to play for the Sooners in the Big 12 conference.
Walker averaged 16 ppg, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists this year for the Reivers. The Reivers finished the season at 23-8 under longtime head coach Jim Morris.

Walker finished his career for the Reivers with 955 points in 63 games played. Walker shot 40% (73-185) this season from three point range.
Walker will join forces with fellow junior college player Giovanni McLean next season in the Sooners backcourt. McLean, a point guard from Westchester Community College, (NY) recently committed to the Sooners.
McLean, a third year player, started his college career at Moberly Area Community College in
Missouri during the 2011-2012 season.
McLean helped the Vikings to there schools first trip to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS this past March. The Vikings finished the season at 28-5.
McLean averaged 16.8 ppg, 4.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists this season while connecting on 44% (73-167) from three point range. McLean dished out 238 assists.
