Big 12 bound

One school in the Big 12 Conference now has a second player to add to its recruiting class from this fall in the junior college ranks. The Texas Tech Red Raiders already have Daylen Robinson in the mix and now have added big man Rodrigo Silva. The 6-foot-10 post player from Brazil is currently a sophomore at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyo.

The Golden Eagles are coached by Jason Ficca and finished last season at 20-13 in Region 9 play. Silva averaged 13.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last season while hitting on 55 percent (157-285) from the floor.
Silva received interest from Wichita State, UAB, Utah and Nebraska this fall. "Rodrigo is a big man who can move pretty well down the floor and has the ability to knockdown shots from 17 feet," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
