Blackhawks have more talent to watch

Coach Tim Walsh has his Blackhawks off to an 11 and 4 start heading into Wednesday rematch with Moberly Area CC (MO). The Blackhawks just finished a trip to Scottsdale CC Tourney with a (2-1). The Blackhawks drop a semifinal game to South Plains CC (TX) Coach Walsh took a few minutes with Jucojunction to update us on two of his remaining sophomores and a few freshmen.
Jon Heyland, (SO) 6 foot 1 (173) from Fort Madison, IA.

"Jon is gym-rat. He has really improved his game. He is a solid outside shooter that can put the ball on the floor and score some now," said Walsh. "Jon loves to play the game and has really adapted to level of play that we see everyday."
Montana State, Appalachian State and a lot of D2 schools have contacted Heyland. On the season Jon is averaging 14.2 points and hitting 47% from three point range (40 of 84). Heyland was a academic qualifer coming out of high school.
George Erkvania, (SO) 6 foot 10 (255) from Republic of Georgia. The big post player is redshirting this year and will have three years to play at the next level. George averaged 2.4 points last year and played really well this past summer at Mullen's Juco Camp in Tulsa.
"George can really shoot it facing up. He must improve on his post skills. Erkvania is a strong - pip and pop guy," Walsh noted. "He's best suited for a half court style of play."
American University, California-Irvine and UT Pan American have called on the big man.
Billy Rush (FR) 6 foot 5 (185) from Chicago, IL.
"Billy is a small forward that is athletic and long," Walsh said. "He can play inside-out he just needs to work on his handles."
UW-Milwaukee, Eastern Illinois, Western Michigan and Northern Iowa have called on Rush. Billy for the season is at 10.6 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Chop Tang (FR) 6 foot 6 (221) from Mankato, MN.
"The very versatile power forward has range out to three," Walsh said. "Chop must improve defensively and be a better rebounder."
Chop seems to be getting it hard with a lot of mail this year according to Walsh; Tennessee, UMASS, Utah State and Purdue are some inquiring on Tang. Chop is averaging 11.7 points and 5 rebounds so far this season.
