Blinn has plenty to watch

The Blinn College Bucaneers in Brenham, TX are off to 17-7 start this season under head coach Steve Spurlin. Assistant coach Tra Arnold touched based with JucoJunction today to let us know whats going on with the Bucaneers sophomores' recruitment.
Tyquan Stroman, (SO) 6-foot-6 (190) from Poughkeepsie, NY, is a wing player that prepped at Genesis One Christian School in Mendenhall, MS before landing at Blinn College.

"Tyquan is a long athletic wing that can shoot the ball. He has a knack for scoring the ball," said Arnold.
Tyquan is averaging 12.1 ppg and 4 rebounds this season. St. Peter's, Manhattan and Iona University have shown interest in Stroman this season according to coach Arnold.
Miles Beatty, (SO) 6-foot-3 (205) from Newark, NJ, is a transfer from George Washington University. Miles is currently averaging 11.3 ppg, 3 assists and 2.7 rebounds this season.
"Miles is a very strong built guard that can score in transition," said Arnold.
Chris Hagan, (SO) 5-foot-11 (180) from Houston, TX, is a transfer from Rice University.
"Chris a tough nosed point guard that does the little things to help our team win games," said Arnold.
Louisiana-Monroe, Texas State and Prairie View A&M have all shown interest in Hagan this spring. Hagan is averaging 10.8 ppg and 4.1 assists this season.
Kevin Hayden, (SO) 6-foot-0 (180) from Dallas, TX, is averaging 9.8 ppg this season while shooting 51.7% (30-58) from three-point range this season.
"Kevin has a good basketball IQ," said the coach.
Hayden is a transfer from South Alabama.
Kahlil McDonald, (FR) 6-foot-4 (190) from Brooklyn, NY, will have thee years left to play after this season. McDonald prepped at Bishop Loughlin in New York City and at American Christian in Aston, PA. McDonald went part time last season as a student near home.
"Khalil is a very gifted offense player. He can really create his own shot," said Arnold.
McDonald, a shooting guard, is currently averaging 21.3 ppg, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists this season while shooting 50% (60-120) from three point range for the Buccaneers.
The Buccanners are looking to stay alive in a tough region with the likes of Paris,San Jacinto, Angelina, Navarro, Tyler, Kilgore and many more teams.
