Bonnies strike again for versatile guard

St. Bonaventure has hit the junior college ranks about as hard as anyone in the country over the last couple of years. Last week, the Bonnies struck again. Cloud County's James Williams committed to St. Bonaventure after an official visit.
"Yes, he did," said Cloud coach Kevin Muff. "St. Bonaventure was on him early and really did a good job of recruiting him all along."

Illinois State, Loyola-Chicago and James Madison were other teams that had shown fairly heavy interest in the 6-foot-5 Williams.
"One of the best things about James is his versatility. He can play a lot of positions, can play the point, the two or the three," Muff said. "He brings a lot of leadership, he's a vocal leader and he really challenges our other kids."
Muff described James as just a solid all around player.
"He is not outstanding in any one area, but he is good in every area," said the coach. "He is a good defender, he can rebound. He just does a little bit of everything. He doesn't stand out in one area, but he is solid in everything."
Cloud opens the season next Tuesday night at Cowley County.
