Braves limp into break

Don McAvoy has been a stat sheet stuffer all season long for the Black Hawk College Braves in Moline, I.L.

McAvoy is an Academic All-American in the classroom and is currently averaging 18.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.1 steals per game this season for the Braves.
"Don is a strong physical wing player who brings alot of toughness and grit to the floor," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
McAvoy attended high school at Chicago Mount Carmel.
Chris Larson was a academic qualifier coming out of high school in tiny Hudson,IA. "Chris has added good weight and mass to his frame this season," said Swanson. Larson is averaging 5.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per game this season. Larson stands at 6-foot-11.
Aundre Hicks will have to go the D2/NAIA route next season. Hicks was a all conference and all region performer last season for the Braves.
The Davenport, I.A. native is currently hitting at 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. "Aundre really likes to attack the baseline and doesn't force shots," said Swanson.
Watch out for the Braves in region play this coming January as they try to make a push to Danville, I.L. in March for the NJCAA D2 National Tourney.
