Brooks heads to the Big South

The Big South Conference has had some teams really fill rosters with junior college players this season. Today one school from the Big South Conference decided to sign another one for next fall. JucoJunction has the latest on this player in this article.
Jonathan Brooks will have a familiar face on campus next fall at Charleston Southern University. Brooks just finished his sophomore season at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, GA. Brooks, a Macon, GA native, played his freshman season at Northwest Florida State College when the Raiders assistant coach was Will Jones. Jones now works at Charleston Southern University for the Buccaneers.

Brooks, a combo forward, averaged 16.6 ppg and 8.8 rebounds this past season for the Mariners. Brooks shot 54% (218-401) from the floor. The first-team all-GJCAA member should see plenty of action next season for Buccaneers in the big South Conference.
"Jonathan is very versatile player and a great athlete. He should really be able to step in and help right away next season for the Buccaneers," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
