Brumbaugh leads the way at Hillsborough

Hillsborough Community College is (7-8) heading into conference play this weekend. Head coach Derrick Worrels has the leading scorer in the country in Keith Brumbaugh.
Keith Brumbaugh: (SO) 6-foot-10 (210) from Deland, FL. Brumbaugh enrolled at Oklahoma State back in the fall 2005 but DNP for the Cowboys. Keith left Stillwater that fall and sat out out until last August 2006 where he enrolled at Chipola College. Brumbaugh left the Indians program in late September 2006 without playing for the Indians. Brumbaugh then went on to Houston, TX to work out out with former NBA player John Lucas. Keith enrolled this past summer at Hillsborough Community College and hasn't looked back.

Brumbaugh, a very talented small forward, is currently averaging 36 ppg, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists for the Hawks. Keith has scored 54 points in two different outings this season for the Hawks versus North Florida and Palm Beach Community College.
"Keith is the most talented player I have ever coached. He has a great basketball IQ on the floor," said Worrels.
Brumbaugh completed 18 hours this past semester and is currently enrolled in 18 hours again this semester. He is looking to try to get out after this season from Hillsborough Community College. UCONN, Ohio State and South Florida have kept tabs on Brumbaugh so far this season.
Tyrel Adams: (SO) 6-foot-9 (250) from Steelville, MO.
Adams played his freshman season at Missouri-St Louis (D2).
"Tyrel is a rugged player in the post. He can really box you out and is a very deceptive athlete on the floor," said Worrels.
Charleston Southern and Louisiana-Lafayette are following Adams this season.
Tyrel is averaging 8.5 ppg and 7.7 rebounds for the Hawks. Adams is a logger in the summer at his family owned business.
Kelvin Higgins: (FR) 6-foot-5 (200) from Fayetteville, NC.
Higgins, nicknamed "Jay," is a wing player that's an academic qualifier. Higgins can leave the Hawks after this season with three years left to play. Higgins played at IMG Academy last season.
"Jay is a very smart player, he is the perfect two guard but is more comfortable at the small forward," said Worrels.
Higgins scored 34 points versus Daytona Beach Community College earlier this season. Centenary has made early calls on him this fall.
