Brunswick point guard makes commitment
Montel Smith, (SO) 6-foot-0 (182) from Greenville, NC, won't have to leave the Tar Heel state to play is college ball after finishing up at Brunswick Community College. Smith has verbaled to UNC-Greensboro.
Montel averaged 9.3 ppg and 4.2 assists last season for the Dolphins. Smith shot 44% (34-77) from three-point range.

"Montel is a strong, speedy point guard that makes others want to play with hi," said Brunswick Community College head coach Walter Shaw. "Montel wanted to find a opportunity close to home and made his decision and UNC-Greensboro in the Southern
Conference was the best fit."
Smith also received interest from Gardner-Webb (offered) while visiting back on September 7-9.
