Dwight Buycks will play in the Big East Conference after he leaves Indian Hills Community College next summer.
"Dwight has committed to Marquette. He really liked the idea of going back home to Milwaukee and finish up his college ball," said Indian Hills Community College assistant coach Nathan Courtney.
Buycks will be a sophomore this coming season at the Ottumwa, IA school. Dwight will have two seasons to play for the Golden Eagles.
Buycks, 6-foot-3 (185), attended Milwaukee Bay View High School. Dwight had signed with Bradley University when coming out of high school but failed to qualify academically. Dwight averaged 15.7 ppg, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the Warriors last season. Dwight made honorable mention All-American last season as a freshman.
Buycks will play this summer in Jerry Mullens JUCO 120 Camp in Tulsa, OK in early July.
