California guard will be a Bobcat
Bert Whittington will be heading to the Buckeye state next season to play his college ball.
Whittington, (SO) 5-foot-11, played the last two seasons at Ohlone College for Head coach John Peterson. Bert will now be heading to Ohio University and joining forces with former Renegade teammate Allen Hester.

"Bert liked the idea of playing with Hester again and that made the situation very easy for him," said Peterson.
Whittington averaged 10.5 ppg and 3 assists this season on a very talented Renegades team. Bert shot 41.3% (43-104) from three-point range and scored 707 career points at Ohlone College over the past two seasons.
Whittington averaged 12.9 during his freshman season back in 2005-2006. California State-Northridge and Boise State also showed interest in Whittington.
