Cochise College is located near the USA/Mexico border in the town of Douglas, Ariz. Head coach Jerry Carillo has guided his Apaches to a 20-4 record this season. Matt Korcheck, ranked No. 19 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150 receives a lot of the publicity but two other Apache players have really stepped up there games this season.

Six-foot-three inch Australian Nathan Sobey is currently leading the team in scoring at 18.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He has connected on 35 percent on shots (30-85) from 3-point range. Weber State, Wyoming, Fresno State, St Mary's, University of San Diego and several Big Sky Conference schools have been calling on Sobey according to Carillo this spring.
Weber State has currently offered him a scholarship along with Wyoming according to Carillo.
Michael Maya is an undersized left-handed shooting guard who has really stepped up his game this season. Maya is currently averaging 17.3 points per game and has connected on 44 percent (91-209) of his 3-point shots.
Maya has had two games this season versus South Mountain College and Scottsdale Community College where he hit seven 3-pointers in each game.
