Cardinal duo signs on

Mineral Area Community College in Park Hills, MO has always produced Division One basketball talent and this season is no exception for the Cardinals. The Cardinals recently had two more players decided on their future Division One schools for next fall. JucoJunction has the latest on where these two Cardinals players will end up in this story.

Jeremy Felton has signed on with Western Illinois University while fellow teammate Byron Pickens will play in the Ohio Valley Conference at Tennessee Tech University. Felton received interest from South Carolina State and Tennessee State before deciding on the Leathernecks. Felton had committed back in the fall to Southern Illinois University but reopened his recruitment this spring.

Felton averaged 9.4 ppg and 5.8 rebounds this season for the Cardinals. Pickens averaged 5.3 ppg and 6.2 rebounds for the Cardinals. Pickens had signed with University of Illinois-Chicago out of high school but didn't qualify academically.
