Carl Albert forward makes commitment
Nigel Byam has been in Poteau, OK the past two seasons playing at Carl Albert State College for head coach Mike St John. Byam decided today he will be heading home next season to play at St. Francis College in New York.
Byam, (SO) 6-foot-7 (210) and a Brooklyn, NY native, is currently averaging 14.3 ppg and 8.6 rebounds on the season on the season for the (7-22) Vikings. Nigel was a second team all conference player.

"I believe he will continue to improve his game because he is just starting to get into playing the game," said St. John.
Nigel didn't play high school basketball and only played 15 games as a freshman last season at Carl Albert State College.
"Nigel really liked the idea of going home and the St. Francis campus is just 20 minutes away from his home," said St. John.
Long Island University, Montana State and Southern Utah also expressed interest in Byam this season.
