Corey Starks, a 6-4, 195 pound swingman/shooting guard from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., is visiting a Missouri Valley Conference program this upcoming weekend.
Chaffey Head Coach Jeff Klein recently informed JUCO Junction that Starks would be visiting Creighton from Apr. 25-27.
In addition, programs such as Oral Roberts, Missouri-Kansas City, East Carolina, Dayton and Rhode Island have expressed interest in Starks this spring.
A native of Rancho Cucamonga, Starks averaged 13 points per game on a deep Chaffey squad that finished 26-7 in 2002-2003. He canned 72 three pointers in 33 games.
JUCO Junction had a chance to scout Starks back in December at the Rio Hondo Tournament. A well built swingman, he can get to the rack and finish and is a proficient catch and shoot three point specialist. He's also an adequate rebounder for a perimeter player.
Starks plans on making a spring decision, and JUCO Junction will keep you posted on his recruitment until he signs a national letter of intent.
