Change of plans
Edson Avila was ranked number 19 last season the JucoJunction Top 150. Avila had signed with the University of Oklahoma but will not be attending the school this fall according to Saints Assistant Coach Patrick Nee.
Avila, a Bronx, NY native could use this season as a redshirt season and sit out and work on his academics.

Avila averaged 11.4 ppg and 5.8 rebounds last season for the Seward County Community College Saints in Liberal, KS. Avila hit on 58% of his shots from the floor.
The Saints finished the season at 26-7 in the always tough Jayhawk Conference.
