Cherrington: High Majors Looking Early
Englebert Cherrington, a 6-7, 230 pound power forward from Midland College in Midland, Tex., is being eye-balled this summer by a number of high major programs.
JUCO Junction caught up with new Midland Head Coach Shannon Hays within the past week, and he filled us in on some of the colleges involved with his rugged rising sophomore big man.

Hays said that Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Nebraska and Oregon are involved early with Cherrington.
A native of Belize, Cherrington averaged 11.9 points and 6.5 rebounds last winter as a freshman for the Chapparals. He shot 48 percent from the floor and 52 percent from the charity stripe.
Cherrington should be one of the better returning players in Region V this winter. JUCO Junction hopes to catch him in action at a jamboree this fall, but in the meantime, we'll keep you posted on his recruitment as it progresses.
