Chipola guard makes his choice

Vernon Teel played on a very talented Chipola College Indians team this past season. Teel, a New York City native, will take his game to the west coast next season and play at Loyola Marymount and new head coach Billy Bayno.

Teel, a (FR) 6-foot-4 (190) combo guard, has three years to play for Loyola Marymount. Teel prepped at Laurinburg Institute back in 2005-2006 under then head coach Billy Reid. Vernon signed with Long Island University but never took the floor and sat out at LIU. Teel averaged 8.7 ppg, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season for the Indians.

Teel received interest from Louisiana Tech- visited and offered and Loyola Marymount.
