Chipola looks to reload

The Chipola College Indians in Marianna, FL will have a whole new look this coming season. The Indians sent nine players onto the Division One ranks from last season's team that went to the National Tourney. The Indians will also have a new head coach in Jake Headrick. Headrick takes over for Greg Heiar who moved onto Southern Mississippi to be a assistant coach. The Indians have landed a few Division One players for this coming season. Steadman Short, (SO) 6-foot-9 (215) from Simpsonville, SC, played last year at High Point University. Short averaged 6.8 ppg and 5.6 rebounds for the Panthers last season. Short played in 28 games last season while averaging 25 minutes a outing for the Panthers last year.

Delwan Graham, (SO) 6-foot-5 (215) from Snellville, GA, played at LSU last season. Graham, a small forward, prepped at Dunwoody High School. Delwan saw action in 25 games last season for the Tigers and averaged 1.7 ppg and 1.5 rebounds.
The Indians will have a roster that mostly will be freshmen but do have a leftover from last season club in Lashay Page. Page, (SO) 6-foot-1 (180) from Dillon, SC, will be a sophomore in the classroom and will have four years to play on the hardwood after redshirting last season for the Indians. Page scored over 2,000 career points in his high school career at Latta and Dillon High School.
JucoJunction will see the Indians in October on the junior college jamboree circuit.
