Claudino enjoys visit with Cats

The college basketball world is just two days away from the opening of the spring signing period and the Kansas State coaches are awaiting word from their targets, including last weekend's visitor, Bruno Claudino, for the remaining three scholarship spots on the team.
Bruno Claudino took the first of three visits this past weekend.

Claudino, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound power forward, is a native of Brazil and will be finishing up his third year at College of Southern Idaho in May. He redshirted during the 2002-03 season and played sparingly as a freshman during the 2003-04 campaign. After an impressive opening game to the season, an ankle injury sidelined him for 12 games. Upon his return from the injury, Claudino was limited to back-up duty behind the established three-man post rotation coach Gib Arnold had been using.
"Bruno did visit Kansas State this past weekend," CSI coach Barrett Peery said. "He told me he really enjoyed everything about the visit. He had a really good time seeing the campus, the town, the facilities and meeting the people. He said it was a big-time atmosphere and a big-time school."
Despite enjoying his time in the Little Apple, Claudino is not ready to make a college decision.
"Bruno is going to take two more visits before making a decision," Peery said. "He's no closer to making a choice, other than being further along the timeline. He is not trying to let himself get too attached to one place until he visits them all.
"He's going to visit Arizona State this coming weekend and then the next weekend he is going to Oregon State. After that, I think he'll be ready to make his choice and get the papers signed."
