Clayborn staying in state

The South Suburban College Bulldogs outside of Chicago, IL have made great strides the past two seasons under head coach John Pigatti. The Bulldogs returned to the NJCAA National Tourney in Danville, IL for the second straight season under Pigatti. JucoJunction has the latest on one Bulldog signing on with a Division One school for next season.

Rickey Clayborn, (SO) 6-foot-4 (210) from East Chicago, IL, has made his choice.

"Rickey has signed with Western Illinois University and new head coach Jim Molinari for next season. Rickey really has a great knack to rebound on the ball on both ends of the floor," said Pigatti.

Rickey averaged 9.4 ppg and 9.1 rebounds for the Bulldogs this past season.

Clayborn joins teammate Elijah Cunningham (Tennessee Tech) and guard Larry Swann (undecided) as potential Division One players next season.
