Cloud County trio taking trips

After battling injury during much of the season, the sophomore class at Cloud County Community College is ready to move on to Division I basketball. Kevin Muff's team features three players who will most likely sign D1 letters of intent during the late signing period.
Manorou Gakou averaged 12.7 points and 7.6 boards per game for Cloud, despite missing about three weeks of playing time following mid-season meniscus surgery. Gakou is the furthest along in the recruiting process thus far.

"Manorou Gakou is going to take four visits," Muff said. "He is at Creighton this week. Then he will go to Penn State, Cal-Santa Barbara and San Francisco, but I don't know the exact dates of those visits."
Gakou has offers from all four of those schools.
Second-team all-league selection Adam Vogelsburg also had some injuries this season. He missed the beginning of Cloud's season, but returned to score 14.8 points and grab 5.2 rebounds in 20 games.
"Adam is still considering Pacific," Muff said. "Charlotte called just the other day and the one official visit he will definitely take is to Middle Tennessee."
Vogelsburg's only offer so far is from MTSU.
Keddric Mays was Cloud's only player to make the all-conference first team. He led the team averaging 15.8 points per game, handed out 2.5 assists, shot 83% from the free throw line and 37% from three-point range.
"Keddric has taken an unofficial visit to Sam Houston State," Muff said. "He will take an official to Chattanooga, possibly to Southeast Missouri and Oral Roberts."
